Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said Ukraine has worked with NATO and will continue to do so despite its non-bloc status.

"We have worked with NATO and will continue to do so despite its non-bloc status," Azarov said in an interview with the program Tkachenko.ua broadcast on Monday evening.

Our equipment is obsolete and cooperation with a progressive organization, in terms of the military, such as NATO, will improve our armed forces.

Azarov said he is convinced such cooperation will help Ukraine improve the condition of its armed forces.

"Our equipment is obsolete and cooperation with a progressive organization, in terms of the military, such as NATO, will improve our armed forces. We are also conducting joint military exercises with Russia and Belarus. We have no ideological prejudices," Azarov said.
