The European Union summit has approved the EUR 11 billion aid package for Ukraine, proposed by the European Commission (EC), EC President Jose Manuel Barroso has said.
“I am pleased that the European Commission EUR 11 billion aid package
for Ukraine has been welcomed by all heads of state and government,” he
wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
The EU held an emergency summit in Brussels on Thursday to discuss the Ukrainian crisis.
