“The document is available on the Web site of the ministry in order to hold public hearings, and everybody can participate in this process, read the document, and put forward proposals. The ministry will summarize all of these proposals,” First Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Anatoliy Maksiuta said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.

He said that the bill had also been submitted for discussion to all concerned departments and that after a general discussion, it will be submitted to a government meeting, considered and sent to the Verkhovna Rada.

If the bill is adopted, the current winter daylight saving time will become constant, that is after Europe switches to summer daylight saving time, Ukraine will move to CET, and the difference with Russia will be two hours.
