You're reading: Blokhin not worried who Ukraine will play at Euro 2012

Ukraine manager Oleh Blokhin has said that he has no preferences regarding the national football team's opponents in the group stage of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.

"The best teams will come, and no matter what teams we would like to play, we’ll play those chosen for our group. I have no preferences," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

Blokhin said that Ukraine would have a friendly match against Israel in February as part of the country’s preparations for Euro 2012 and two more fixtures against Estonia and Austria just before the start of the tournament.

In addition, the coach said that the national team could also play a few friendly games with weaker opponents.

Blokhin also said that the Ukrainian team’s coaching staff had not considered playing a friendly match with Russia before Euro 2012.

It is expected that the Euro 2012 finals draw will be made in Kyiv on Dec. 2.
