You're reading: Body of third Ukrainian victim of incident in Sea of Azov found, says Foreign Ministry

The body of the third Ukrainian, who died after a collision in the Sea of Azov, has been found, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has said. 

“The body of a missing person has been found. Thus, three Ukrainians died in the incident. The search for another compatriot is continuing,” director of the information policy department at the ministry Yevhen Perebyinis told Interfax-Ukraine.

He also said that the repatriation of the bodies of two Ukrainian victims would be held on Saturday, July 20.

“The bodies of the two victims have been identified. Today they will be delivered to Ukraine,” he added.

As reported, on July 17, 2013, a motorboat of the Coast Guard of the Russian Border Service collided with a Ukrainian fishing launch, which it was allegedly chasing for poaching in Russia’s territorial waters in the Azov Sea near the village of Vorontsovka. As a result, the fishing boat with Ukrainians capsized. One of the Ukrainian fishermen was rescued, the bodies of the two were found, and another two were missing.
