You're reading: Cabinet allocates Hr 26 million for construction of road, rail bridge in Kyiv

The government of Ukraine has allocated Hr 26 million to Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways for the construction of a road and rail bridge crossing the River Dnipro.

A relevant cabinet instruction, No. 40 dated Jan. 18, 2012, on the approved procedure for the use of funds to fulfill a function of the capital by Kyiv city in 2012 (Hr 1 billion) has been posted on the government’s Web site.

In the same document the government allocated Hr 310 million to the Directorate on the Construction of Roads and Transport Facilities in Kyiv City to build a bridge over the River Dnipro and reconstruct two transport hubs in Kyiv.

In particular, Hr 100 million will be allocated to build the Podil bridge.

The document also foresees the financing of reconstruction of transport hubs on the crossroads of Druzhby Narodiv Avenue and Nadniprianske Shose (Hr 130 million) and a hub where Dniprovsky slope joins Naberezhne Shose (Hr 80 million) in Pechersk district.

In addition, according to the document, Kyiv Metropoliten will obtain Hr 119.6 million to build subway lines in 2012.

Some Hr 73 million will be used to finance the construction of a section of the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska subway line from the Lybidska to Vystavkovy Tsentr stations, and Hr 41.6 million to build a section from the Vystavkovy Tsentr station to Odeska Ploscha station.

Another Hr 5 million was allocated to build a section of the Podilsko-Vyhurivska subway line from Hlybochytska station to Raiduzhna station.
