You're reading: Cabinet approves principles of selecting international organizations for drug state procurement

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the principles of selecting international organizations which will take part in drug state procurements.

Deputy Health Minister of Ukraine Ihor Perehynets told Interfax-Ukraine that the decision was made at a cabinet meeting on July 22.

“The decision proposed by the [health] minister orally regarding the approval of the resolution on defining the principles of selecting international organizations was made at the cabinet meeting,” he said.

Perehynets said that the cabinet also decided to define mechanisms for paying for procurements via international organizations.

“Three days was given to our partners from central power agencies to agree the positions,” he said.

He also said that after the adoption of the law on drug state procurement via international organizations the Health Ministry has drawn up some bylaws which are being agreed by executive power agencies.

As reported, by late July the Health Ministry planned to define international organizations which will take part in drug and vaccine state procurement.
