You're reading: Cabinet okays measures for second phase of visa liberalization regime with EU

Ukraine's government has approved a plan of measures to implement the second phase of the visa liberalization regime with European Union member countries, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak said.

“A program to shift to the second phase of visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union was approved yesterday,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Aug. 21.

Semerak also said that the government had formed a governmental committee on European integration, which is headed by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.

The first meeting of the committee may take place on August 22, Semerak said.
