You're reading: CEC registers 2,400 international observers for parliamentary elections in Ukraine

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has registered another 387 international observers for parliamentary elections on October 28.

At a meeting on Friday, the commission registered one observer from
the United Kingdom, two from Cyprus, six from Hungary, 37 from Russia,
23 from Denmark and also denied registration to two representatives of
the Netherlands.

The CEC also registered 26 observers from the European Parliament,
three from GUAM, 16 from the Executive Committee of the CIS countries,
three from the For Fair Elections organization, 56 from Public
Initiative for Free and Democratic Elections Organization, two from the
Fund for the Development of Civil Society, 56 from the non-commercial
organization European Academy for Election Monitoring and 201 from the
European Network of Election Monitoring Organization (ENEMO).

The CEC has already registered 2,400 international observers from 16 countries and 28 organizations.
