You're reading: Chesno movement to check honesty of 2,500 parliamentary candidates

The Chesno public movement will analyze the honesty of around 2,500 candidates for people's deputies, a member of the organization, Serhiy Taran, has said.

During a presentation of the second stage of the organization’s
survey on Tuesday, Taran said that results of the survey will be
published in September.

According to him, the candidates will be evaluated according to four
criterions of honesty – involvement in corrupt schemes, infringement of
human rights and freedoms, trustworthiness of declared incomes, and
adherence to a political position.

The results of the analysis will be indicated in the candidate’s
profile on the Web site of the Chesno organization. At the same time,
the movement decided not to assess the quality of the candidates, but
will instead just publish certain facts about each candidate.
