You're reading: CPI falls by 0.1 percent in July

KYIV, Aug 3 – Ukrainian consumer prices fell by 0.1 percent in July, compared to inflation of 3.7 percent in the previous month, the State Statistics Committee said on Thursday.

Consumer prices rose by 18.6 percent in the first seven months of this year, it said.

The government had initially forecast consumer prices to grow by 19 to 20 percent this year. Acting Economy Minister Viktor Kalnyk said on Wednesday inflation might reach 25 percent this year. Last year inflation was 19.2 percent.
