You're reading: Crimea doesn’t recognize Ukraine’s decision to put Crimean prime minister, parliament speaker on wanted persons list

Volodymyr Konstantynov, chairman of the Supreme Council of Crimea, and Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksionov do not see the decision made by the illegitimate Kyiv authorities to put them on a wanted list and prosecute them as legal, Rustam Temirgaliyev, first deputy prime minister of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, told a press conference.

Temirgaliyev said Crimea currently does not recognize the legitimacy
of the Ukrainian administration, adding that Konstantynov and Aksionov
“have no intention of leaving Crimea.”

The Kyiv Shevchenko District Court earlier granted a request made by
there-trial investigation bodies seeking the detention Aksionov, who has
been appointed prime minister of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and
Volodymyr Konstantynov, chairman of the Supreme Council of Crimea. A
court ruling to this effect was issued on Wednesday, the press service
for the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office has reported.
