Two people injured in a collision between a minibus and a truck in Rivne region, died in hospital on Thursday evening, the Emergencies Ministry's press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
Thus, the death toll in the accident has risen to nine.
As it was reported earlier, the accident occurred after 17.00 on Thursday on the second kilometer of the western approach road to Rivne City, near the village of Velyka Omeliana in Rivne district. A Volkswagen minibus and a Renault truck collided.
Seven people died at the scene, eleven passengers were injured, seven of them seriously.
According to preliminary information, the passengers of the minibus were pilgrims returning from the Spring of Saint Anna in Zdolbuniv district (Rivne region).
According to the media, nine children were among the passengers of the minibus.
