The Divan TV multimedia service has proved in court that the seizure of its equipment by law enforcement authorities on Sept. 17, 2015 was illegal.

“The situation which developed after Sept. 17, 2015 could be described as critical, as the company’s work was virtually halted. This happened due to the fact that the actions of law enforcement officers were aimed at withdrawing the equipment with which Divan TV performs legitimate financial and economic activity,” the company said in a press release.

However, on Oct. 6, 2015 the Kyiv Darnytsky District Court examined the company’s complaint against law enforcers and ruled in favor of the company.

“Investigator by a court ruling obliged the return of the confiscated property of the company. This decision cannot be appealed and it comes into force from the moment of announcement and is subject to unconditional execution,” report says.

The press release notes that the service provided evidence and documents in support of its claims.
