You're reading: Dmytro Yarosh denies information about redeployment of Right Sector units

Dmytro Yarosh, leader of the movement Right Sector and an independent MP, said Right Sector battalions are in their places of deployment and their personnel are at bases and on combat missions.

"Information on the redeployment of Right Sector battalions is untrue. Personnel are at bases and on combat missions in their areas of responsibility, protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state," Yarosh said on Facebook on July 13.

Yarosh said Right Sector is conducting peaceful rallies in Ukraine and has voiced its demands and asked the people of Ukraine for support.

He called on members of the organization to closely follow instructions from their immediate administration.

Media reports said earlier that fighters from the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps (UVC) of the Right Sector abandoned their positions in the anti-terrorist operation zone in Donetsk oblast. Hromadske TV reported this on its website, citing the RS UVC’s 5th Separate Battalion commander known under the nom de guerre Chorny.

According to the battalion commander Chorny, this order was issued to the fighters personally by the RS leader and parliamentarian Dmytro Yarosh; the fighter said, however, that he is unaware of the reasons for the move.
