KHARKIV - Ukraine's ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kharkiv, is not due to be discharged any time soon, the hospital's chief doctor Mykhailo Afanasyev said.

“We are conducting the planned treatment following the
recommendations given by the German doctors. To date there has been no
talk about discharging her. But a hospital is not a resort. Patients are
discharged depending on their health condition,” he told reporters at
the hospital on Tuesday.

Earlier, Tymoshenko’s lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko said that she would be
transferred from the Kharkiv hospital to the Kachanivska prison this
weekend.
