DONETSK – The Donetsk regional branch of the Regions Party has said that the findings of its opponents about fraud at polling stations do not reflect reality.
“The representatives of UDAR, the united opposition and Svoboda,
trying to explain their poor result in Donetsk region, are now trying to
throw into question the choice of residents of Donbas and present the
election in the region as having being held with massive violations. All
of the conclusions by our opponents are not based on concrete facts and
evidence. They are based on allegations and outright lies,” the press
service of the party’s branch said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to lawyers of the party’s branch, Donetsk District
Administrative Court has not currently received any lawsuit from the
subjects of the electoral process challenging the election results at
certain polling stations.
“The Regions Party as no one else wanted the holding of fair
elections. We believe that we achieved this. We will give a decent
answer to any attempts to question the will of our voters. If necessary,
we can mobilize our people and defend our results,” reads the
statement.
