Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officers, during a search of the premises of one of the leaders of Energoatom, uncovered documents showing the use of offshore schemes for fuel supplies to Ukrainian nuclear power plants and exports of spent nuclear fuel for storage to Russia.

“The officers, when carrying out searches in the residential premises of one of the Energoatom heads, revealed documents showing the use by the officials of the state enterprise of offshore schemes for the supply of fresh fuel to nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Similar offshore schemes were used for exports of spent nuclear fuel to Russia for storage. Law enforcers also seized the stamp of Russian companies involved in this transaction,” the SBU press center has reported.
