Energy Resources of Ukraine LLC is interested in the privatization of power generation company PJSC Centrenergo, company head Andriy Favorov has told reporters in Kyiv.
“We are very carefully monitoring the process of privatization of Centrenergo, which was announced in summer. We believe that this is one of the key demonstration projects, which will show whether the country is ready for transparent privatization and attracting Western investment,” he said.
Favorov added that Energy Resources of Ukraine is a managing one, it is working with major foreign investors.
“These are well-known public companies traded on foreign exchanges,” he said.
Energy Resources of Ukraine was founded by two partners, a majority stake belongs to Favorov.
As reported, the State Property Fund of Ukraine intends in December this year to put 73.29 percent of PJSC Centrenergo up for auction.
