Novosti TV LLC, which has a license for satellite broadcasting under the Espresso TV brand, has acquired Goldberry LLC, which has a license for digital broadcasting in the MX-3 multiplex, Telekritika publication has reported, referring to director of Espresso TV Kateryna Yermolovych.
She said that the deal is being finalized, and the sum of the deal is not disclosed.
Yermolovych said that on the basis of Goldberry the Espresso TV channel will be developed, and the documents for re-registering the license have been submitted to the Nsational Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting.
The Espresso TV channel was founded in autumn 2013, and its founders are wife of MP from the Bakkivschyna faction Mykola Kniazhytsky – Larysa (99 percent of the company) and the former editor-in-chief of Kommentari weekly Vadym Denysenko (1 percent).
