Brussels, Sept. 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The EU has once again expressed its concern about the gas case against former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko and said that it is "a serious issue" in bilateral relations.

President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso stated this during a press conference after the Eastern Partnership summit in Warsaw on Friday.

According to the president of the European Council, the issue was raised several times – during a working dinner on Thursday, a plenary session on Friday, as well as at a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

"We expressed our concern about the Tymoshenko case and one more time noted that we oppose the possibility of the selective use of the judiciary system against the opposition," he said.
