You're reading: EU Delegation rents premises with area 4,600 square meters in center of Kyiv

The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine in the end of 2012 rented a separate building with an area of 4,585 meters at 101 Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, reads a press release from Colliers International consulting company in Ukraine that presents interests of the tenant in the transaction. 

According to the report, a long-term rent agreement foresees a full reconstruction of the functioning office, taking into account the demands and specifications of the leaseholder: the replacement of all engineering systems, elevators, windows, as well as decoration of the offices and premises of common use.

According to Colliers International, such a transaction is a rather rare phenomenon on the Ukrainian market in view of the area, and specific character of the conditions of the signed agreement.

As the press release reads, in general in 2012 under assistance of Colliers International in Ukraine 37,000 square metres of office premises was leased that totalled over 50% of the rent bargains in this segment of real estate.

“We confidently and optimistically enter 2013, which could be dubbed ‘the year of the leaseholder’. The participants of the real estate market of Ukraine will see the issuance of the great volume of new quality offices that will improve standards and practices of the market maximally approaching it to the European level,” the press service quotes Managing Director of Colliers International Ukraine Oleksandr Nosachenko.
