The European Union will reiterate the priority of the Eastern Partnership program at the Riga summit on May 21-22, Latvian Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma has said.

“During the Riga summit in late May, we will reaffirm the strategic
importance of our joint policy. The Riga summit will send a strong
message to member countries of the Eastern Partnership, which remains a
priority of our work in the EU,” she said at the international
conference supporting Ukraine in Kyiv on Tuesday.

The Latvian prime minister noted that her country made Eastern partnership its priority when it was chairing the EU.
