The European Commission is planning to give Ukraine 100 million in support of decentralization reform, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Thomas Frellesen has said.

“Yesterday the European Commission decided to provide serious financial assistance in the sphere of decentralization – 100 million, and this is what will prop up efforts to carry out the decentralization. What is more, many experts on decentralization will be involved in the implementation of these programs,” Frellesen said at a press conference titled “Constitutional Reform: Achievements and Prospects,” in Kyiv on Dec. 3.

He also said that about 160 merged communities need assistance in creating administrative centers.
