You're reading: European Parliament to pass resolution on Russia’s violation of Crimean Tatars’ rights on May 12

European Parliament at the session on May 12 will hold debates and will pass a resolution on the violations of the rights of Crimean Tatar People by Russia, President's Envoy for Crimean Tatars Mustafa Jemilev said.

“EP will hold debates and will pass a resolution on the Russia’s violation of the rights of Crimean Tatars on peninsula. This issue was put on the agenda of the next plenary session of EU legislative body that is to take place in Strasbourg through May 9-12,” Jemilev wrote on his Facebook account on Thursday.

According to Jemilev, debates and voting under the resolution on violation of Crimean Tatars’ rights, democracy standards and rule of law on temporarily occupied territory of Crimea scheduled for May 12.

Moreover, on May 9, the parliament will also discuss impact of Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project on energy markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
