Ex-Member of Parliament from ex-president Viktor Yanukovych's former Regions Party Volodymyr Landik claims that former leader of the Regions Party parliamentary faction Oleksandr Yefremov orchestrated the seizure of the buildings of Luhansk Regional State Administration and the SBU Security Service's regional department in March 2014.
Landik said on the air of Radio Svoboda’s Donbas.Realii project that Yefremov had instructed the then Luhansk Governor Valeriy Holenko to bus young people from Russia to seize the buildings.
“We were videotaping this: where they appeared from, who gave them batons, how they were dispersing people, beating them, how they entered the administration’s building, and how they used the same buses in the evening to depart for Russia,” Landik said.
According to Landik, all the evidence was handed over to the SBU.
