The police department at Simferopol Airport in Ukraine's Crimea Autonomous Republic is investigating what caused a recent Moscow- Tel Aviv flight to make an emergency landing at the airport.
A Crimea Prosecutor’s Office spokesman said on Tuesday that investigators were suspecting violations of air traffic rules.
The airplane’s air conditioning system reportedly malfunctioned, filling the cockpit with smoke.
No one was killed or injured when the aircraft, which was carrying
three passengers and two pilots, made an emergency landing at Simferopol
Airport at 4:51 p.m. on Monday, the spokesman said.
The Falcon-50 plane belongs to Aruba, a constituent country of the
Netherlands, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Emergency Situations
Ministry’s Crimea branch said. It taxied to the parking area.
