Five policemen were injured in clashes with opponents of participants in an Equality March organized by the LGBT community on Obolonska Quay in Kyiv on June 6.

One of those injured is in serious condition, the city police department told Interfax.

Police detained 25 offenders who threw firecrackers at parade participants through the police cordon. Firecrackers, screwdrivers, knives, and other dangerous objects have been seized from those detained.

Reports on possible casualties among civilians have yet to be verified.
