Ukraine will continue to fulfill the obligations it undertook on transit of gas to the European Union, in spite of any technical problems of partner suppliers of gas.

“If some partners, particularly Russia, have some technical problems
in the supply of gas, this won’t affect the fulfillment of our contract.
We are fulfilling our commitments, we have no doubt and there can not
be any doubt,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said, when
commenting on the situation with the reduction of gas supplies from the
Russian Federation to Poland.

Klimkin stressed that Ukraine and Slovakia “are linked with energy
cooperation” and thanked the foreign minister of this country for
cooperation in this sphere.

He also expressed hope that like Ukraine will fulfill its commitments
to the EU as a transit country, Slovakia will fulfill its obligations
regarding reverse gas supplies to Ukraine.
