Twenty-seven Ukrainians, who were on board the Costa Concordia, a cruise ship that ran aground off the Italian coast, have returned to Kyiv from Italy, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov said on Sunday evening.

"Two planes with Ukrainians on board arrived at Boryspil Airport from Rome at 17.30 and 17.45," he said.

There are eight more Ukrainians in Italy, and three of them are planning to continue their holiday in Italy, while the other five will return to Ukraine in the next two days, he said.
