The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said that the country's agreement on social security with Israel was signed in compliance with all procedures.

“Due to the emergence and spread in the media of unverified reports
on the illegal signing of an agreement between Ukraine and Israel on
social security, we consider it necessary to state that the Ukrainian
Embassy in Israel has already made official statements and explanations
about this issue,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told
Interfax-Ukraine.

He said that the agreement on social security between Ukraine and
Israel was signed in New York on September 28 at a meeting between
Ukrainian Foreign Kostiantyn Hryschenko and Israeli Deputy Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, according to all of the
necessary procedures and norms.

“The Ukrainian Embassy in Israel said in a statement on October 12
this year that the signing of the agreement was a result of fundamental
agreements reached between Ukraine and Israel during Ukrainian President
Viktor Yanukovych’s state visit to Israel November 30 through December
1, 2011, and was realized in accordance with orders of the head of the
Ukrainian state and the administration of the Ukrainian president,”
Dykusarov said.

Earlier, some media threw into question the correctness of the procedure of the signing of this document.
