The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said Ukraine is making every effort to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.
“We are making every effort for this agreement should be signed, and
we hope that the same approach is shared by the European side, as this
is a matter of strategic importance for both Ukraine and the EU,”
Director of Information Policy Department of the Foreign Ministry Yevhen
Perebyinis has said.
According to him, Kyiv hopes that Europe will show a comprehensive
approach to assessing Ukraine’s readiness to meet the criteria and will
proceed from the fact that this is a global and strategic issue, not
only for Ukraine but for the whole of Europe.
