According to the information policy department of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine, due to the cancellation of the airline’s flights 196 Ukrainian citizens remain at Ho Chi Minh International Airport (Vietnam). The Ukrainian Embassy in Vietnam is taking measures to provide necessary consular assistance to Ukrainian passengers for their return to the homeland.

On January 6, a similar situation with this airline happened at Ben-Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv (Israel), where 54 Ukrainian citizens got into difficulty.

“On January 7, some 19 of the 54 Ukrainian citizens flew to Kyiv International Airport by the airplane of UIA, another 35 Ukrainians are to be transported to Ukraine by the aircraft of other air carriers on the same day,” reads a statement by the foreign ministry.
