Two Ukrainian citizens have been detained in Moscow on suspicion of kidnapping a person, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov said that the
Ukrainians had been detained as part of the investigation of a criminal
case under Part 2, Article 126 (kidnapping) and Part 3, Article 163
(extortion) of the Russian Criminal Code, which was opened on October 5.

“The criminal case is being overseen by the consular section of the
[Ukrainian] Embassy [in Russia],” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on
Tuesday, Oct. 9.
