The international non-governmental organization Freedom House and the institute of Mass Information have presented a new project for public activists and journalists entitled "Bloggers against Corruption."

The project is aimed at creation of a network of bloggers from various regions of Ukraine and providing them with a free platform for publishing their revelatory postings.

The Web site nikorupciji.org will contain news and blogs about corrupt actions and abuse of power by officials.

“In small towns and even in regional centers of Ukraine the level of corruption is proportional to the number of the media committed to the authorities. That’s why our project, first of all, is aimed at providing people not indifferent to the truth with a possibility to inform a wide range of readers that every day feel the difference between reports in the newspapers that depend on oligarchs and the authorities and the everyday life they can see with their own eyes,” Editor-in-Chief of the Web site Serhiy Kuzin said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday, Oct .22.
