The debate on the functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine will be conducted at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on January 26, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov said at a briefing on Tuesday that on January 23-27, Strasbourg would host the PACE session that will be attended by a Ukrainian parliamentary delegation. Among the issues to be considered at the session are the election of a new PACE chairman, the Council of Europe commissioner for human rights, the assessment of the results of parliamentary elections in Russia, as well as Serbia’s obligations to the Council of Europe.
