You're reading: Government allocates Hr 125.8 million to Ukrainian servicemen in Crimea

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has allocated Hr 125.8 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the interior troops of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine and the State Border Service in Crimea.

Corresponding cabinet resolution No. 145 dated March 9, 2014, was posted on the government’s Web site.

“At today’s meeting, the government is going to decide on the allocation of UAH 125 million as one-time financial support for the servicemen who are now defending their country on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said when opening the government’s meeting on Sunday.

The funds will be paid at the expense of the reserve fund of the national budget (50%) and the funds of the Defense and Interior Ministries and the State Border Service of Ukraine.

The resolution foresees the approval within one day of the list of costs associated with additional payments to the military. A report on the spending of the payments should be submitted by June 1, 2014.
