About 50,000 foreign fans visited Kyiv during Euro 2012, Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Anatoliy Holubchenko has reported.

Today we can talk about 50,000 fans, who only visited Kyiv,” he said
at the sitting of Kyiv City State Administration devoted to the summing
up of the results of Euro 2012.

According to him, in general over 100,000 guests lived in Kyiv
hotels, of which 3,600 were Russian citizens, 2,600 British citizens,
2,000 French citizens, 2,000 Polish citizens, 600 U.S. citizens and 400
Chinese citizens.

Three thousand Swedish citizens stayed in the hotels, while 6,000
Swedes settled in the camp on Trukhaniv Island; 2,300 Spanish citizens
stayed in the capital’s hotels and 5,000 Spanish citizens came for the
final match; about 2,000 Italians stayed in the hotels and 3,000 came
for the final match.
