Batkivschyna party leader and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has been placed in a three-person cell, 16.8 square meters in size, where one more woman is being held, Ukrainian Human Rights Commissioner Nina Karpachova's press service has reported.

Representatives of Karpachova office have inspected the conditions in which Tymoshenko is being held at the pretrial detention facility, where she was placed earlier on Friday under a Pechersky District Court ruling.

"The human rights commissioner’s representatives have raised the issue of equipping the cell, where Yulia Tymoshenko is being held now, with a TV set and a refrigerator. The detention facility administration assured them that this will be done if the former prime minister’s relatives take care of this," it said.

Tymoshenko "did not file health complaints and refused to undergo medical tests during a medical examination," it said.

"The arrestee has no complaints against the escort officers, who did not apply handcuffs to her while transporting her to the detention facility," it said.
