You're reading: Hutsulshchyna national park to get 116 ha of forest in Ivano-Frankivsk region

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has permitted the Hutsulschyna National Nature Park (Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region) to develop a land planning project on 116 hectares of agricultural land in Kosiv district.

A corresponding decree, No. 182-r dated March 27 of the Cabinet of Ministers, has been posted on the Web site of the government.

According to the document, a land plot that is in the use of state-owned enterprise Kutske forestry (the village of Yabluniv, Ivano-Frankivsk region) will be transferred to the national park for permanent use to support its functioning.

The Hutsulschyna National Nature Park was created under a presidential decree in 2002.

The national park is located on 32,248 hectares, 7,581 hectares of which are in constant use, and 24,667 hectares are included in its composition, without exception from land users within the Kosiv district of Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The length of the park from the northwest to the southeast is about 29 km, and from the northeast to the southwest – 20 km.
