The Embassy of Iran in Ukraine and the Iran international exhibitions joint stock company have opened a specialized economic exhibition at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv on Oct. 18. The event will be held until Oct. 24.

Ambassador of Iran to Ukraine Akbar Ghasemi-Aliabadi said at a press conference that cooperation between Ukraine and Iran has improved in recent years, but still it does not match the full potential and expectations of the peoples of both countries.

"One of the reasons for the insufficient level of relations and goods turnover is in the lack of awareness of many people in both countries of development prospects," the ambassador said.

He saod the exhibition was organized with the aim of deepening relations between the countries in various spheres and branches, demonstrating the products of Iran, and further strengthening cooperation between companies, industries and businessmen.

"Eight main product groups and services will be demonstrated at the exhibition," the ambassador said.

In particular, food, building materials, handmade carpets, nanotechnologies, cars, lighting, as well as oil, gas and petrochemical products will be exhibited.

High officials from Iran will attend the events.
