You're reading: Kazakh prime minister to visit Ukraine in April

Astana – Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov and Ukraine's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Oleh Diomin met on Friday in Astana to share their opinions about the further improvement of relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan. 

The sides also discussed the preparations for Akhmetov’s upcoming official visit to Ukraine on April 4-5, reads a posting on the Web site of the Kazakh premier.

Akhmetov noted that bilateral relations between the countries develop dynamically and said that trade and economic relations, as well as social and cultural cooperation should be intensified.

In turn, Diomin said that Ukraine is eager to develop partnership with Kazakhstan in all directions.

According to the report on the Web site, trade between the countries grew by 24% to $5.5 billion in 2012.
