Kharkiv – Kharkiv International Airport has serviced its first official flight from Kyiv, which brought honorary guests and reporters on an aircraft of Kharkiv Airlines (the DCH Group of Oleksandr Yaroslavsky).

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported that the Boeing plane landed at the airport at 10.30 a.m.

The crew preparation manager of Kharkiv Airlines Oleksandr Ihnatyev said that the plane arrived with a small delay, as Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was flying from Kyiv’s Boryspil airport.

“We were delayed due [because] the president’s plane was flying [to Serbia on an official visit], and until it flew off the air traffic control service delayed us,” he said.

In addition, on Thursday the first commercial flight on the Kharkiv-Antalya (Turkey) was performed.

Due to the delay of the flight from Kyiv, the flight to Antalya was delayed until 1 p.m. instead of 11 a.m.

According to the flight program of the summer season, Kharkiv Airlines will perform 32 flights a week between Kharkiv, Kyiv and Donetsk. The airline will fly to Heraklion (Greece), Monastir (Tunisia), Antalya (Turkey), Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada (Egypt). It is also planned to fly to Barcelona(Spain).
