You're reading: Kharkiv mayor Kernes declares Hr 4.7 million decline in 2014 income

KHARKIV - The total earnings of Kharkiv Mayor Hennadiy Kernes in 2014 totaled Hr 13 million, which was almost Hr 4.7 million less than in 2013, when he declared nearly Hr 17.650 million.

According to Kernes’ declaration, which was published on the official website of Kharkiv City State Administration, in 2014 his salary fell to Hr 106,501 against Hr 125,301 in 2013. Income from interest and dividends declined from Hr 17.523 million to nearly Hr 12.490 million. Income from property sale was Hr 401,918.

As in 2013, Kernes declared a 7 square meter house (apparently a hut) and a 154 square meter flat.

Kernes still owns a Porsche 911 (2003) but no longer owns a Carrera Mercedes-Benz S550 (2009).

He also declared that he has Hr 10.308 million held in PrivatBank and Region Bank accounts, which is twice the amount declared in 2013, when Hr 5.130 million was held in the banks. Kernes also owns securities worth Hr 8.356 million of nominal value.

All sections of the declaration relating to his family were left empty.
