First Deputy Head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Ihor Kononenko has asked the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NAB) to conduct a confrontation with Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius who accused him of corruption.
“I ask to synchronously interrogate me, Ihor Kononenko, and Aivaras Abromavicius to clear up facts laid in his reports (statements),” Kononenko posted his petition to NAB Chief Artem Sytnyk on his Facebook page.
Kononenko said that he is ready to cooperate with investigators to clear up the truth as soon as possible and even allow using the data on his personal communications with Abromavicius and the persons mentioned by the minister the mobile operators have and other information.
Kononenko said that he urged Abromavicius to have an open polygraph test with him.
“Unfortunately, there is no answer from him. The polygraph test is not spread practice, but in this case, taking into account a splash around it, this step would be appropriate,” he said.
