You're reading: Kyiv authorities not calculate income of Euro 2012 yet

Kyiv's authorities have said it is difficult to say what income the city received from hosting Euro 2012.

“Certainly there was growth, but it isn’t easy to calculate
specifically. I think that may have more exact results in August,” Head
of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov told journalists on
Tuesday.

Commenting information appeared in mass media that income of Kyiv
from holding Euro 2012 totaled over Hr 80 million, he said: “This is a
subjective matter. It’s possible to calculate Hr 100 million, or Hr
200 [million]…or maybe Hr 30 million. I think that we need to process
it, since the enterprises will report on in the end of the month and
we’ll see from the results for July.”
