You're reading: Kyiv determines which medical establishments to accept patients and those injured during Euro 2012

A list of medical establishments in Kyiv that will accept patients and those injured during the Euro 2012 European Football Championship has been approved in line with a medical concept of Kyiv as a city hosting the Euro 2012, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration reported on Wednesday, referring to administration’s head Anatoliy Holubchenko.

According to the press service, the main (basic) medical establishments will be Oleksandrivska Hospital, Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 12 and Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 18.

The list of specialized medical establishments includes Kyiv City Clinical Hospital "The Eye Microsurgery Center", Kyiv City Clinical Hospitals Nos. 2 and 17, Kyiv City Clinical Hospital "Heart Center", Kyiv City Psychoneurological Hospital No. 1, Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 7, and Kyiv City Center for Sports Medicine.

Reserve medical establishments include Kyiv City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Aid and Kyiv City Clinical Hospitals Nos. 7 and 9.

In addition, the list of medical establishments to serve Euro 2012 includes Kyiv City Center for Emergency Medical Aid of the Accident Medicine Service, Kyiv City Station of Emergency Medical Aid and Accident Medicine, and Kyiv City Blood Center.

A separate section of the medical concept envisages a plan of medical provision of the National Olympiysky Sports Complex that foresees the service of medical units at the stadium and near it.

According to Holubchenko, the administration has drawn up 45 routes for the movement of special medical transport to render emergency aid at the Euro 2012 official sites and transport those injured to city hospitals.
