Consul General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don Vitaliy Moskalenko has proposed the Russian side consider the issue of bailing Ukrainian fisherman Oleksandr Fedorovych, against whom Russia opened a criminal case in connection with the incident in the Sea of Azov on July 17.

Such a proposal was voiced on August 30 during a meeting of the Ukrainian Consul General and the deputy prosecutor of the Azov-Black Sea interdistrict environmental prosecutor’s office (Novorossiysk) who is in charge.

“On the same day, the corresponding note was passed to the official representatives of the Russian side,” the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
