The Ukrainian government has instructed the Foreign Ministry, the Justice Ministry and the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to hold consultations with the European External Action Service on determining the effect of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in Crimea.

This is stipulated by Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 847 of
Sept. 17, 2014, through which the government approved an action plan
on the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European
Union.

“Consultations [will be held] in accordance with the provisions of
the final act of June 27, 2014, which was signed along with the
Association Agreement, with a view to determining the effect of the
agreement regarding illegally annexed territories of the Autonomous
Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, which are not properly
controlled by the Ukrainian authorities,” reads one of the points of the
plan.

These consultations should be held until January 2015.
