Kyiv Airport (Zhuliany) plans in 2012 to double its passenger traffic in 2012 compared to 2011, to 800,000-900,000 people, Oleksiy Yakovets, the director general of Master-Avia LLC, the operator of the new terminal in the airport, said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday, Sept. 10.

“While last year Zhuliany handled 460,000 passengers, this year we
plan to double that figure to 800,000-900,000 people,” he said.

As reported, Kyiv International Airport plans in 2012 to service
800,000 passengers. Its basic airlines are Wizz Air Ukraine and
UTair-Ukraine.

The airport has a runway 2,310 meters long and 45 meters wide and is
certified according to ICAO Category I. On May 22, 2012 the airport
started using its new international passenger terminal
